History

Yahara River Learning Center opened their doors for the first time in August 2017 and consisted of four classrooms at that time; twos, threes, fours, and before/after school age care. By summer of 2018 we prepared for our first summer camp program which was a success. By fall of 2018 we had grown and needed six classrooms – ones, twos, threes, 4K, before/after school. Flash forward to fall of 2020 and we expanded to support school age virtual learners’ kindergarten through second grade. In the aftermath of virtual learning, we use all 7 of our classrooms for our early learners. Macy designed this program to not only serve families in the DeForest area, but to also support high quality teachers.
