Ratios/ Licensing

 
 

Yahara River Learning Center maintains the following staff-to-child ratios at all times in our classrooms as required by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families:

Age of Children: Minimum Ratio of Staff to Children

1 year to 2 years 1 staff for every 4 children

2 years 1 staff for every 6 children

2 ½ years 1 staff for every 8 children

3 years 1 staff for every 10 children

4 years 1 staff for every 13 children

5 years to 10 years 1 staff for every 17 children

Yahara River Learning Center is a public program currently voluntarily licensed to serve 77 children by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. A copy of the licensing rules is available for review on the parent information table in our lobby and on the web.

All of the staff at Yahara River Learning Center are kept up to date on all licensing requirements, CPR and First Aid certified, and trained on any special health requirements within the classrooms, which begins at orientation to the program.
