Classrooms & Programs

There are 7 classrooms at Yahara River Learning Center.

They are:

Aspen 1 year to 2 years 8 children max
Cedar 2 years 10 children max
Dogwood 2 years to 3 years 12 children max
Ginkgo 3 years to 4 years 15 children max
Sugar Maple/Black Cherry 4 years to 5 years 20 children max
Willow 5 years to 9 years 24 children max

At Yahara River Learning Center, we understand that children develop at their own rate. This is why the only limitation we have for children to enroll is their age. Children must be the minimum classroom age by September 1 of that year to be in that designated classroom. We follow the school district schedule and move children to their new classrooms September 1st.

• Summer Camp – available to those families that attend our before/after school program during the school year

• After School Care – children are bused from the schools within the DeForest Area School District. We provide care after the school day is done. (There is a small busing fee which is included in your child’s tuition)

• 4K (GT4K) – DeForest Area School District has all 4K programs in their community. Our teachers work with the district to implement the building blocks for future learning.

o Open enrollment must be completed by the end of February each year for those that don’t live in the DeForest Area School District. Talk to your home school district for exact dates.

o Must inform the district of where you would like your child to attend 4K
